Beautiful! Now I want a set for my DT books. My birthday is coming up....

;-D ;)

Seriously, though...really nice work! The books look "finished" now, if you know what I mean. You should be proud!!

....excellent craftsmanship.....

Thanks!!! It is definitely a fun little hobby with the added bonus of protecting my books.

A couple weeks ago while searching for a crafty birthday greeting for Ms Mod, I happened upon this quilting pattern. I like it a lot. I don't have the patience to make a quilt but I might could pull off a pillow cover lol. I'm guessing the corn and strawberries would be put together staggered like a checkerboard.

Great idea! I may steal that in a year or two. :smile2:

Why wait. Little Miss is only 9 1/2 months old. I also put one cloth with a crunchy noise. I took a piece of cello-wrap and put it inside a folded piece of material. Then I sewed an X (with longer stitch) so it stays flat. I tried to make a taggy but that didn't end well.

I'm also going to offer one to SIL for her day care. If she has a play-house area, using white material for the cloths could be used for changing dolls.

Next on my to do list is her christening outfit that I have to get done before March 26th but will definitely add it to my project ideas. Taggy?

I think a pillow would be a great way to use those blocks. Try laying them out in different ways to see which looks the best to you. Taking a picture with your phone and then looking at it can often give you a better idea of whether it's going to be visually appealing and you have the benefit of seeing it before it's sewn together so can make changes.

Remember when we used to say kids preferred the packages to the toys? And their favourite part of the toy was the tag? Someone cashed in on that. There is a brand of toys called Taggys. But they should be simple to make. (This is someone else's picture of one they made..)

I'm still out of the loop when it comes to toy trends. I have seen a lot of things with those tags on them on Pinterest recently but didn't realize they were called Taggys.

I guess it's been too long since I've visited a Toys R Us. I didn't know about taggys either lol. The only tags on toys I remember were those tags on those beanie babies that everyone screamed not to remove.
old age here- tag followed by "you're it". Or the price tag to see how much an item costs. Sale tag-- color indicated % of reduction. Yep- another era!

When I was a kid, I was afraid I'd go to jail if I removed one of those tags that said 'DO NOT REMOVE UNDER PENALTY OF LAW' :)
