The wonderful, kind, amazing quilter in Alaska not only fixed the seams that I managed to split, but also quilted and bound it.

And the whole time, this wonderful spirit was complimenting my work even as she fixed it. She said that she's known people who have been quilting for years that couldn't nail the applique like my letters. Such an angel! I'm forever grateful.

It is beautiful!! Such nice work!

She did an amazing job.
:love_heart:
You both did! Glad she was able to fix it and help you feel better in the process!

You're addicted. Welcome.
That's funny. I used the same words myself today. I said that if I ever stop making them as gifts, I might be able to sell one or two of 'em to help pay for my new addiction.

beautiful work, LL
Beautiful and your granddaughter will love it.
Thankee. Very kind.

I've got one designed for my nephew for his baby that's due to make an appearance in July. It's got a painted middle panel with puppies and kittens, a unicorn, ballons and the baby's name. But my practice paintinga of the baby still look like mutant zombies.

I might have to rethink the concept. LOL!

Quilt #2.
I finished this throw top in a day following a pattern i saw online. I substituted fabrics, though, with my granddaughter picking out the colors. She doesn't know it's for her.
I should be able to quilt and finish it in a day. Two at the most.

The painting of the baby reminds me of the vintage kewpie dolls. Cute!

When my son was moving into a big bed I took him to pick what colour yarn he wanted me to knit it in. I asked him to tell me which colour he wanted. “I want that one...and that one...and that one...and that one...” so I ended up knitting rows of about 10 different colours.

The first night he slept with it, he said it was like having an all night hug.

Since my daughter-in-law in Mohawk, I thought I’d help her daughter make a different Mother’s Day present than the usual. This is a rain stick. Actually has a pretty good sound too.

And yes, I do realize it is not a traditional looking one. But her 2 year old likes pink. And it’s coming from her.

Now, just trying to teacher her to say “rain stick”.
