....nice work....could maybe acid wash the Browning one, or "blue it" like a rifle......Thanks! I know he is planning on painting the flag one but not sure if he is doing anything extra to the Browning one. I think it looks cool like that. Maybe just a black paint on it.
Ooh, I like the bluing idea! I will bring it up to Evan.....nice work....could maybe acid wash the Browning one, or "blue it" like a rifle......
Those are adorable!! Nice job, kiddos!Still not quite finished, I need to put ribbon through it for a hanger but here is Sage's ornament. She kept her fingers closed.

Here is RJ's too, just the face and a little touch up left. And he opened his fingers. I think they are cute both ways though.

Sage DID try to tell the secret, I found out! Marti said she kept trying to tell them what they were making at Grandma's and they kept having to shush her.
I asked Sage about it on Christmas day. I said, so you told our secret? About the ornaments? She said, Yes. I mean, no. I told her, yes you did, your mama told me! I laughed and laughed. Little stinker.
I've been taking a Navajo weaving class on Tuesday nights while I'm in AZ. Last night was the last class and I managed to finish my project. I'll be taking it home with me so I can block it (steam it so that I can even out the edges) and decide whether I want to hang it as is or put it in a shadow box frame. It will come back with me the next time I'm here so the shadow box may be the way to go to help keep it protected from dust and moths since it's made with wool yarn. Lots of mistakes but I'm still pleased with it as a first effort. The instruction book has plans for making a loom which I'll do at some point so I can make more.
