When I quit smoking I decided to be childish and reward myself. My reward was quilting supplies. I had always wanted to learn, but couldn't justify the cost. Once I spent the money, I would have felt way to guilty if I had a cigarette. But, I haven't actually finished a quilt yet. But, everyone that finds out I 'm making one wants it. They have faith in me, lol

Quilter here. They are addictive. And I recommend watching youtubes if you get stuck on any aspect of a quilt. There are some fantastic tutorials out there. It is amazing how intricate something can look, yet when you break it down, so simple to make.

There's a guy on there who gives crocheting tutorials. I LOVE this dude. I don't crochet and couldn't follow a pattern if my life depended on it, but I watch his vids with yarn and hook in hand and I CAN CROCHET! Very intricate things too.

I have a hearing problem, yes. I have a hearing aid that I never wear because it bugs me. So, I just irritate the crap out of people by saying, "what? huh?" and yes, I'm the person who someone says, "Go get a pizza for dinner." And I think they said, "Get some pizazz you whiner."

I can't remember if it's high tones or low tones I have trouble with. I mostly have trouble in crowds.

That is a real talent. Because crochet patterns are on the rosetta stone--I'm pretty sure that's true.

Same here. I just went to my 30th high school reunion, and I was really frustrated by the loud music. If I want to dance to eighties music I can do that at home, but I really wanted to hear what my old classmates were saying, and who knows if I'll ever see some of them again? If we have a 40th, I'm going to request soft background music.

Have any of y'all tried crocheting amigurumi animals? They're crocheted in the round, and I can make potholders, so I'm thinking about trying it. I especially like this little baby bunny.

I love quilts. I love all the different designs and all the colors, but I don't have the patience to make a quilt I'm especially fascinated by folded fabric quilt patterns. I really like the folded star pattern. I took this image from a Pinterest page (I googled Folded Quilt Patterns.) There are a bunch of patterns for Christmas balls too.

That's just a bunch of prairie points put together. So easy. You can also do quilted christmas ornaments doing this same technique on styrofoam balls, they turn out really pretty. I made a bunch and have them on my xmas tree every year!
