Once upon a time, there was an old lady who grew cucumbers. And she asked her family, "Who will help me get the soil ready?" "Not I," said her husband Voldemort. "Not I," said the treehugging oldest son, Sven. "Not I," said the youngest boy, Jabba the Hut.

"I will do it myself," the old lady said. And she did.

Then she asked, "Who will help me plant these cukes?" "Not I" they said right down the line. Once again, the old lady did it herself.

"Who will help me care for these cukes?" "not I blah blah blah." So the old lady did.

Harvest time rolled around and the old lady asked, "You men, will you help me pick these veggies?" Nope, nada, nothing. No help.

The old lady walked her twisted frame out to her crops and harvested.

"Who will help me can these cukes to make pickles?" The request was met with the chirp of crickets.

The job was hard and time consuming but the end result was rows and rows of beautiful pickles, bread and butter ones, dill ones -- gorgeous lined up on the cabinet, ready to feed her ant family through the winter while the grasshoppers went pickleless.

The friggin' pickles lasted 2 days.

Love it - Jabba the Hut and Sven! Sadly, sister-wife, I don't garden. But I would happily do the kitchen work and take care of the other things, while you garden.

You know I'm not going to argue about this, right? Just keep the husband off my back (and front) and we are gold Ponyboy.
