Every time I come upon SK references in books/movies/TV, I think about his essay (I read it in the compilation book called SECRET WINDOWS) called, ON BEING A BRAND NAME. And that was written when his kids were small and America was his biggest stomping ground. What would it be like to be a worldwide cultural touchstone? When a mention of your name tells someone how to think about an event (even if, in Mr. King's case, the popular conception--'horror'--isn't necessarily the whole story)? Wow.

Sorry--feeling reflective today

A little disappointed with ending IMO.
The paranormal twist at the end seemed almost an afterthought in the script. "No wires were found"... sheeez, that’s the best they could come up with? The supernatural twist at the end of last week’s episode was much better with the spilled coffee.

I really like watching Stana Katic. Not only is she easy on the eyes, she's one of the best "reacting" actors I've seen. Even when she isn't given something to do in the script, she's doing something in response to what the other characters are saying, and it always seems genuine.

This week, I especially like the way she reacted when she saw the guy hovering several inches off the floor. Speech interrupted mid-word by amazement rarely seems genuine, but she nailed it.

The spilled coffee episode really was excellent :)

I love Castle. I'm hoping that someday SK will join Castle and his writer buddies in a poker game :)

I love how Kate's and Castle's reactions are so different lol

another genuine reaction Beckett nailed...

In "Punked" (the steampunk episode), Castle's daughter asks Castle, "How do you know if you're in love?" He doesn't know. Later, he confusedly asks Beckett, "How do you know if you're in love?" She has no confusion. She immediately answers, in her no nonsense Joe Friday way, "All the songs make sense." It cracked me up :)

That's a show I wish was on Netflix/Hulu. I tried just jumping in this season, but it didn't work--too much backstory that I missed, so I didn't catch nuances, I think.

TNT has been airing repeats and they're beginning again from the start on March 19. The first ep TNT is showing on the 19th is a 2013 ep but it's followed by the first 4 eps. The very first 2009 Castle ep is titled Flowers for Your Grave.
