I ordered my gift edition I think in 2014. Still haven't got it. Does it usually take this long to get. Being it's been over 8 plus months I am guessing they complete everything then ship instead of just made ship inventory now policy?
When you pre-ordered your copy you should have noticed in the announcement that this title wouldn't be published until this summer, that's why it's called a pre-order. Cemetary Dance almost always does business this way, although there have been a few times when they actually didn't announce a title until they had it in their warehouse(s), ready to be shipped. It's always a waiting game when you do any kind of pre-ordering. It's not just Cemetary Dance, but most small presses do things this way. Consider yourself lucky that you weren't one of the folks who pre-ordered the limited edition of Legacies and had to wait over ten (!!!!) years for it. ;-D

Cemetery Dance is one of my favorite retailers and they have fantastic products. But timeliness is not one of their strong suits. I've had to wait a year or two on some items. And it's not uncommon for them to constantly push back the release date.

But be patient. Usually, it's worth the wait.

oh I see. next time I will just get it in the secondary market. waiting ten years? wow, I hope they gave u a discount or some kind of credit to put towards a different product. any reputable busuness would have, I mean loyality is one thing but ten years, thats going too far and should do a much better job ofgetting their product out. no business should have anyone on the cuff for that long. they should have just admitted they made a mistake in their business plan of the making, packing and shipping of item and refunded all the money. then start over when their about 6 months out. I know business very well but admit I know nothing about the animal of books so I might have just sounded like a complete idiot. I have bought 4 cemetery books in the secondary market and have been very pleased. so as long as salems lot comes to me in that superbly made book ill will be ok with the time it takes. well unless its ten years lol

I don't think the ten year wait was anything to do with the making of the book itself. I think there was an author who held up the publication for some reason. I really would love to know the story behind this......

I finally gave in to temptation and ordered my copy. I just wish I'd been in a position financially to have bought the special edition of IT. I'm very tempted with Carrie, but I really hope to get Pet Semetery.

Has anyone got their salem lot yet. Still haven't got mine even though I've heard they shipped. I emailed them and the reply I got was a forwarded in house email that said ship out all salem lot orders.
Haven't received mine yet, but I thought that they were waiting for the books themselves to be printed and that they had received a copy from the printer and had to check it against the slipcase to make sure that the book fit the slipcase. I don't think were going to see the book for another few weeks at least.
