I have a question concerning film rights: if Mr. King was the one who wrote the book that the film(s) is/are based on, then how does he not have the rights to that production, whether it be the book or the film?
The company that produces the movie has to purchase the film rights and once they are sold, he no longer owns those rights. He does not give up any publishing rights, however.

Yeah, I think we can all agree on the fact that once the new IT came out, it would be a matter of time before all the other films that made King famous in the first place got a remake. I haven't told Mr. King about my idea for the remake of Christine yet, but I fully intend to, though.

What is your idea for Christine? My only thing I whant is the ghost driver and some of the old cast to have cameos or something

Like I told GNTLGNT, I think the new Christine car should be a 1960 Plymouth Fury instead of the iconic '58 on account of a more scarier look, as shown here:

Well what about Maximum Overdrive? Mr. King directed the film himself, so wouldn't he still own the rights to the movie?
