...well, the fermented grape would make things a little less dire I guess.....It's strange really, but after living here for a few years we take the wildfires for granted. No on really talks about them, only to complain about the smoke in the air and the difficulty breathing. Hasn't stopped tourism either, lots of visitors in the Okanagan. They don't flinch at traffic being down to one lane on highways. The
fires are that close to the highways, the traffic is squeezed to one lane. I guess they are dedicated to getting here no matter what (and dedicated to over 40 wineries just in and around Kelowna). They love those wine tours.
