Have a look at these little guys. Lots of critters are coming into the city because of the fires, including deer, moose and lots of bears.
Poor little guys. Lots of bears?
Some bears, it seems more each year, are coming into the City tearing apart garbage for food and the apple orchards bring them in too. Unfortunately
some people think they are cute and leave food for them at their back door. Once these animals have had a taste they keep coming back and bring their
families too. But now with the fires they are forced out of their habitat and they come to where they know food is. Used to be dusk and dawn they show up now it can be the middle of the day. They take a swim in people's swimming pools, sleep in trees and wander around neighborhoods. They live trap them and take them up the mountains but they usually return. Can't trap them all, the Ministry has lots of other animals to deal with right now.
I am posting a couple pics, but took these a few years ago.
Animals are truly amazing in the kind of positions they'll sleep in, that looks very uncomfortable.
