So, my dad bought this camouflaged camera thing you put somewhere outside and it will take pictures of any critters that walk by, surprisingly we had a lot under and around our deck on one night in the span of a couple hours and we didn't even see them. Wonder if they were throwing a party.

We get possums and raccoons in our yard all the time because they like to eat the cat food we leave outside. But I have never ever seen an armadillo near the suburbs or city before, and certainly not in our yard. I'm kinda sad I didn't see it while it was around. I've only seen maybe 3 before in the wild, and I got to pet a domesticated one at an event a long time ago.

I have them in and around the woods. Have you seen any of their "holes" in your yard.?

not to my knowledge, the deck is perfect for critters to crawl under though. It isn't attached to the ground and is instead raised slightly, so it's easy on all sides for something to wander in or out. Plus behind our backyard is a huge drainage ditch that runs along the back of the entire neighborhood, with lots of tall grass and a wooded area beyond. I've heard there are snakes out there, although I've yet to see one.

DSCN9019.JPG....my late father always got tickled if he had the chance to see a Baltimore Oriole on it's migratory swing through Ohio.....sadly he passed, just a few days before a lone Oriole stopped by The Ranch....the image above is one of at least 40 Oriole's of varied gender and type-that are currently in our yard.....smile Pop, they remembered.....

This made my heart ache, but in a good way, if that makes sense.
