But that's the thing, like I was saying in the previous post, there is no Scientific Data which proves Social Distancing works, if fact, some reports suggest otherwise. There was a video on YouTube of several California Doctors who are actually involved in Covid hospitals discussing the actuality of what is really working when combating the disease, yet they were taken off of YouTube because they were quote on quote, generating false information, regardless of the fact that they are the ones actually on the ground. I would like to continue this conversation more, but like Steve says, GET TO STUDYING! (Aims Shotgun) :)
Every place that has enacted social distancing measures has seen their numbers of cases drop and those that haven't have seen them increase. That's proof enough in my book. If everyone acted responsibly there wouldn't have been a need to put measures in place. They don't and because of that a lot of other people have to pay the price.

Why can’t we start opening businesses up and maintain social distancing as best we can? If you are in a high-risk category and are fearful then don’t go out… Remain in your home and shelter in place and stay away from others.
Isn't that what they're working on right now? My understanding is that governments are looking into opening up some businesses, seeing how it goes and then expand if it goes well. It has to be done on a local level, though, because this is definitely a situation where one size fits all will not be appropriate.

Yes, SOME are. Other heads of government seemingly are looking at keeping things shut down as long as they possibly can.

We seem to be doing that now (at least around here). I think we are a long way from things going back to normal. We had a bad outbreak in the counties South of me (Miami Dade and Palm Beach) but my county didn't have much of an outbreak. I think the stay at home helped my county a lot and kept the outbreak to the South from spreading much here. I guess we will see what happens in my county as we get back out. The average age in my county is pretty high so if we get an outbreak here, I can see our hospitals being overwhelmed. The point of the lockdown was to buy us a couple of months to figure out how to treat covid. I'm not sure we are there yet but at least I think we are more prepared than we were a couple of months ago. I hope everyone can keep the distancing up as we venture back out. I think the distancing is important.

Because that's to their advantage to keep losing money coming into their coffers and they have nothing better to do than screw with their citizens. Couldn't possibly be that they have information that would indicate it would be counter-productive to do it yet. And, yeah, that actually is sarcasm. ;)

I received another kindness in the mail today from another couple in my little group of nerds I hang out with.
They had also enclosed a check for $100. I'm blessed to have clients who are also friends.

This is the kind of thing we need to be hearing about these days instead of debating about how governments are dealing with the crisis. Thanks for sharing that.

That is a special act of kindness. Caring is important. A friend gifted me some books, as I am still sheltering in place, and I plan to pay them forward to someone I know who(m) could use some escape with good books.

I've been helping some of my friends and co workers fill out their forms for the PUA assistance. So far, I've helped 5 out and they've all been approved.
I'm happy to be able to help make the process easier for them than it was for me.

Also, my daughter and I order take out twice a week. We only order from locally owned restaurants, and I've been leaving a generous tip even though it isn't
common to tip for take out.

Not trying to brag, but it's how I feel I can help my community, even if it's just a little bit.

I have a friend who is working at a pizza place right now. A person called in a pizza order and asked if they could do the whole thing over the phone. The woman placing the order has lung issues. So, she placed her order for a pizza, she put 20 bucks in the back seat and told the person to just open the door, leave the pizza and take the canoli... I mean 20 dollars. And to keep the change. It was like a 9 dollar tip! For a pick up pizza.

It made my friend's day and the woman was probably so happy somebody didn't pooh pooh her concerns and really helped her. She wanted pizza, dammit!

Jeff Bezos seems to be doing pretty well out of all of this.
