...I'm not missing any such point...it doesn't strike me as much more marquee than any other cover...I'm not shatting on your enjoyment of it, but the only statement it makes to ME is "unimaginative"....by way of example-here are a couple of covers that I personally find evocative and well done-and despite the author's stature, draw me to the book...

I recently started reading The Bachman Books and in the updated forward SK talks about how and why they were written and why by Bachman and such. Aren't we lucky that he is so willing to share all that with us in his forwards and epilogues? It makes reading his work even more awesome.

Other than the 'Salem's Lot cover, (which I have always loved) the other two are dreadful in my opinion. It's all just a matter of personal opinion; I'm not saying one type or another is any better. I just happen to like minimalist covers. It's all good though.

Underwhelmed by the cover. The balance on the Mr. Mercedes was much better (of the newest books). Truth be told, I like covers better when Mr. King's name isn't the primary part. I know books sell by his name, but that isn't (and shouldn't be) the only reason to buy them. Just my humble opinion--I'll take the words any way I can get them :)
