Whoa! No I have never seen this one before. I am not that familiar with Dali's surrealism...except for The Persistence of Memory...probably because I don't fancy it...much like cubism. But I guess it's safe to say that you are a big fan of el señor Dali.:abnormal:

Yes. I tend to attach to few artists but when I do I feel very fond of them. Some of Dali's religiously themed works are unbelievably gorgeous.

I admit I was into Dali for a brief period a looooong time ago when lysergic acid diethylamide was *all the rage*. :stupid:

I guess I prefer impressionism...Manet, Monet, Cassatt, Degas, et al., and also watercolors...particularly Wyeth and Marion Bolognesi who did my avatar and this:

Yes, I agree..especially his Christ of Saint John the Cross. Apparently Dali got his inspiration from lucid dreams...what he called cosmic

My fave of his religious inspired work is Christ of Saint John of the Cross. Apparently some of Dali's inspirations came from lucid dreaming..he called them cosmic dreams. Other famous lucid dreamers are Tesla, Einstein, Edison AND Stephen King!

I have always liked Dali. I've never really understood him, but his art speaks to me all the same. I have a copy of his floating rose framed and hanging on my wall, and that same rose is tattooed in blue under my right collarbone.

I unfortunately can't see most of the pictures that have been posted, so forgive me if I repeat anyone.

You can buy a sculpture Dali created from this painting.
