I have apparently started a disagreeable topic. I by no means was attempting to start a movement and convince you all to agree with me and reach out to your fellow readers. I was simply putting the idea out there that some people might not want to be hasty in their decision to stop reading Stephen King. Although if that’s really what they want to do than by all means they should go ahead and execute their decision (I’m not going to beg them to stay). I myself consider that people might be worth at least a little of my time but certainly not all of it.

StutterKan I can also see very well how you feel, there is penalty of sh1t I am impatient about and won’t waste my time on. When I responded to your post it wasn’t necessarily that a cared to much about your statement of being impatient , I was just actively on the forum at that time and got caught up in the action or responding to post. What confuses me, is that for someone who doesn’t want to waste time on this subject you took the time to read my topic and post twice your disagreement, or post once your disagreement, than post again to chastise or chide me… (Maybe you were also just actively on the forum and responding to post).

And for everybody else who disagrees with me. You don’t need to read and respond to my topic, if it’s something you disagree with and think is a waste of time.

Honestly the context of what I am trying to say, doesn’t have to do anything with Stephen King. It’s about reading, and giving specific writings or writers a second chance, if you didn’t like a few things they wrote. It’s about staying connected to reading and not necessarily reading for the sake of a new book came out. It’s about staying connected to the reading not the author of the writing. If you’re not geting anything from reading why continue to read, but if your disregarding reading for a not fair reason, maybe reconsider.

I just based my example off my experience which had to do with Stephen Kings writing.

I think you're probably preaching to the choir here on the SKMB, most of these folks would follow that line of thinking. I know we have recently had the odd person dropping by with the attitude that you've mentioned. I think what folks here are trying to say to you, is that perhaps you shouldn't let it upset you on such quite a personal level?

...indeed...you're seemingly a good person, but one who has taken far too much to heart...

Looking a little 'hangry' there, Flake. (do you have that saying down your way? It's when you're hungry and then you're angry because you're hungry. Apparently it's the latest 'syndrome' to creep up in our neck of the woods. I'm going to apply for disability payments because I can't deal with my 'Hangries' anymore!!!)

I've never heard of this before, but it's possible I may have been afflicted by it in the past! :biggrin2:

I'd just like to say to l.a.link the jesting (mea culpa) in here is not pointed at you, at all. :)

I assure you that I wasn't trying to chastise you with my reply, just throwing my 2 cents in. Wasn't anything personal.

I have never heard that word, but I shall begin the fad in my part of the world.

I could be wrong but you might be taking this too seriously.

There was something on World News Tonight about it a couple of days ago. I know I get cranky when I am hungry, so for me it is true.
Me, too. :wink2: It sometimes took me a few minutes to realize what was happening but when my son was younger and started acting up and being a PITA, more often than not just giving him a snack would bring about a miraculous attitude adjustment.
