I was about half way through Doctor Sleep and I forgot my book at my fiancée's house when I was visiting and I needed a book to read for the flight home. I picked up Finders Keepers not knowing it was part of a series. I proceeded to love it and when I saw End of Watch I was curious why it was saying author of Finders Keepers (thank you Amazon for the reason). I quickly book and read through Mr. Mercedes when I was traveling on leave (vacation) prior to deploying overseas. Of course my fiancée forgot her book and we co-read (not an easy task when you read slightly different speeds and it is a page turner!!). So I had to finish the book before leaving the states so she could finish book 1 and go into book 2. I read about 130 pages on flight over here and went to work. I saw a SSgt in the Air Force with End of Watch and we started talking. It has been my daily break of the day to talk about it. I finally caught up and surpassed him and just finished the book two nights ago! It was great. He did not read the first two books and I am trying to get them for him to read next. We were saying I hope they make this series into a movie and I saw tonight that the first book will be a mini-series.

Great job and well written. It has given me something to look forward to daily here in the sand.

Thanks for your service. Welcome to our community.

And next time, read to your fiancee. I think that's so romantic

I picked up "End of Watch" first, realized it was a series and had to get the other books. I did read "End of Watch" first, however. I have gotten into the habit (bad or otherwise) of starting at the end or in the middle of a series. It has become a game of figuring out how he got to that point in a plot. I usually go back and read them again from the beginning. Thank you for your service.

Fortunately in your case, "Finder's Keepers" only has a short appearance from Brady. Other than a quick scene in the hospital with Hodges visiting him, the book is totally apart from "Mr. Mercedes" and "End of Watch". In other words, it was perfectly fine to read "Finder's Keepers" first.....just next time be more careful! lol
