Wow, thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!
I still pop in from time to time. As a new reader of SK, there isn't a lot of his material that I can comment on. It follows that I would be able to join in more conversations and topics as time goes on and I rack up more reading. I'm also wanting to be careful to ration my reading, so that I don't overdo it and burn out.
This is working well so far, as I found it easy to jump into Salem's Lot. Normally longer books are daunting (slow reader, usually), but letting a little bit of time pass, I came into it ready for a SK fix! I didn't think about the timing of it, but my roommates went travelling, so I'm house-sitting a goodly sized house on my own, with this scary book for company. Perfect!

....I'm glad you're still around, and your pace is perfect for you.....the biggest thing is you're soaking up the genius of the tales.....
