I have not finished the story yet, I am half way through number 7- but I had to leave this here because there was something about the 2nd book that had me remember something fondly.
Please do not read the spoiler if you haven't read the book:

I cannot believe how funny this book is-I found myself laughing throughout almost the entire book when I read it in March. Most of it is because Roland is trying to interpret the slang of English in America. But Maybe It's just that my personality is similar to Eddie in real life (humor mostly misunderstood). How I look at life is not different from him and I'm always trying to bring laughter to a situation even if it sounds stupid at my expense. Those in my life who are "Roland-ish" always look at me that same way as Roland looks at Eddie at times-- But here is the secret: I don't care, Roland

I've just got to the part where Eddie dies and I'm just... kind of down.. I've never shed a tear over a book in my entire life (I'm 34) but I guess there is a first for everything. I think book 2 is how I would remember Eddie (For the reason of how much I laughed while reading this book) if I was a character in the book
