Difficulty reading

Very late to the story, but as a young child that was also bullied, I found that her revenge was super satisfying. I am not advocating for you to do anything out of your comfort zone, but you should try to read the last few chapters, if for no other reason than for how she gets her revenge.

The one that I still cannot read (I am currently 25) is IT. Pennywise is just way too much for me.

Now please read this entire post before you guys say "you couldn't read his first work?" I have always wanted to read the book that began Mr.King's career, he inspired me to become a horror writer. My high school during my Senior year(almost 2 years ago) required you on Fridays to read for twenty minutes. I saw that the bookshelf had Carrie so I decided to pull that down and read. I had already seen the movie and was okay watching that. Yet when I read tried to read this book, I was sobbing due to the bullying in the first few pages. I was severely bullied like Carrie was(not the "plug it up" portion or the blood) but nearly every single person in my school bullied me. It brought back severe flashbacks and I had to lock myself in the bathroom to prevent a panic attack. I was wondering if anyone else ever had difficulty reading any of his works because of their past? I hate that I couldn't read this book and still can't. The only way I could watch the movie was reminding myself constantly this was actors.

you seem fairly young and are two years out of high school high school memprices are still fresh. Don’t worry about notbeing able to,read carrie right away, give your self a few years, when high school is still not so raw and read it then. To be honest with you it’s not his best work, it’s nothing earth shattering As it is his first books. explore some of his other works, you may enjoy the dead zone as it is so politically relevant right know. he has written 60 books exploring his other ones and go back to carrie when you fell ready and don’t fell bad about not reading carrie right away

hello, I have yet to not be able to read any of his books, yet. But I am shure I will find one. I am reading it and finding it a bit over rated. A bit. I am currently towards the end.
