I'll post this a little early tonight since I forget to mention it earlier today. Head Down is the only non-fiction piece in Nightmares and Dreamscapes and is an essay written about the local little league team's run through the playoffs. It doesn't matter if it's fiction or non fiction, Steve's kids are always great characters.

So, what did you think?

...this is one of those real life glimpses into King's life....and you can not only sense his love of the game, but for Owen as well....I savor these rare opportunities to get a feel for King-the man, husband and Dad...instead of mega-billion selling author.....

We are almost to the end of Nightmares and Dreamscapes. I think that on Wednesday we will discuss the poem, the very short story at the end of the book, the notes and general views of the book overall. After that, what do you want to do? We can pick another short story book or a novel or even pluck random short stories and novellas from different collections. If you have a suggestion, make it.

I don't intend for the suggestions to to hijack the discussion of the excellent Head Down. Do both. Keep on posting comments about Head Down and make any suggestions for what's next.

It's been fun. Short stories make for quick reading and weekly discussion. we could skip around from a variety of collections, or just stick with one book. Does not matter to me.
