I enjoyed this one. The story line of a community of vampires living among the humans is interesting and has a lot of possibile directions it could go.

If Bev reads this post, I have a question. Did you consider making this a longer story? I can imagine this story line of a detective poking around the vampire community making an interesting novella or novel.

I got a chuckle out of the vampires being a misunderstood minority and the police taking cultural sensitivity classes. And the story even has an Edgar Winter reference. :)

Did get it read last night! I liked it. It had that gritty, dramatic feel to it. Vampires just want to be understood. ;) I thought it was interesting that their "treaty" included no feeding on humans. And the scene where the sultry vampire was eating was a new experience! Don't think I have ever read it described quite that way. Stomach churning yet fascinating. Definitely could see it in my head. :biggrin2:
