Alright friends - I'm back already. I wanted to pick something I haven't read yet, but something by a trusted author as well. I went with George Saunders and came across this gem - his first published short story, which includes a link to the commentary by his graduate writing professor - the one and only Tobias Wolf. I'm excited - I hope you are too.
A Lack of Order in the Floating Object Room - Hunger Mountain

Sounds Good.

Sometime Wednesday close to 8:00 EST created a new thread in this forum and make the first post. Then it's game on.

I'm a bit confused (what else is new, right?) Does this mean someone will create a new thread next week around 8 p.m. EST?

I'm looking forward to the new story - thanks HollyGolightly :star:

I may have to read this story at least one more time (maybe a glass of white wine or some of that newly legal cannabis will get me in the right frame of mind)

Here is an interview with George Saunders that might give everyone a little insight into George's way of writing.

Interview with George Saunders - The White Review
Thank you!! I'm going to read that after I offer my thoughts on his story and his writing - I want to test whether my perception of him is close to what he reveals.
I gravitate toward weird. Tim Burton. T.C. Boyle, Karen Russell, If those 3 and George Saunders would collaborate on a movie - it would be some kind of heart warming, yet frightening and bizarre bit of eye candy.
