I wonder if anybody bought Full Throttle in the airport bookstore and then unsuspectingly started reading this while they were in the air? :)

What I like about this end of the world story is the way Joe put such a diverse group of characters together to go through this horror.

(I'm going to disappear for a while to watch The Heat - I'll check back in at halftime)

Reading that story while in flight would be horror to the max.
It was a good take on society today-- the fears people have, many not admitting to them. The words- "You are released" brought chills. The story takes us through the disturbing happenings within the plane, the passengers reactions to each new announcement, and finally the announcement - you are released. Open ended ending--- what will await these characters.

No crafting for this vacation. One of my cousins from Maine is coming to visit so I'll be doing the travel guide gig along with my other cousin who lives here year-round, including the obligatory trip to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. We'll spend a couple days in Flagstaff, too.
