Nope, though some of the references would probably make more sense with background info. The story isn't dependent on The Shining, though.

That's fine, I need to work on my keyboarding skills. I find I am always miss typing on the little iPad keyboard.
I noticed your post in the last thread I read was perfect!

:encouragement::encouragement::m_petals: (The one where you posted the video of Stephen King accepting the National Book Award)

p.s. I don't have an iPad but I know it is hard to type on my iPhone :courage:

"Ok great. I will read the shinning first. My next king read may be revival"

"No offense, Hill lover but you have a really bad autocorrect - it is The Shining, not The Shinning"

No big deal, Hill lover :) The autocorrect or extra "n" made me hear Groundskeeper Willie's voice in my head. The Simpsons is one of those silly yet brilliant shows and they did an outstanding job when they spoofed Kubrick's Shining!

For what it's worth, today a friend text me to give me some information regarding a project we're both working on. I text back "good thing" and it autocorrected to "food thong", LOL!!

Yes, twice. I read it when I was about 15 (my first King novel) and then 22 years later re-read it to refresh myself for Doctor Sleep.
