The Blackout Experiments

The documentary looks at Blackout, an immersive horror experience in which participants willingly take part in a haunted house type event. The scares are tailored to their individual fears, which they relay to the event coordinators prior to fully entering the show. Acts performed on the participants will differ depending on the scares set up by the Blackout staff. Performers are allowed to touch participants, unlike most other fright attractions, and participants are given a safe word if they grow too uncomfortable or scared.[4]

In the documentary, Fox interviews several of Blackout's repeat customers in order to understand why they continue to return to the event. He captures their reactions to various frights, and for some, the news that they have attended too many Blackout events and are asked not to return.

This was a weird one. I would never give up that much control of myself to anyone.

I have Diana: Our Mother, about Princess Diana recorded to watch. But I heard an excerpt from it that I thought was so endearing.

When Diana divorced Charles, she lost the title of Princess. When Prince William saw how sad Diana was, he told her (paraphrasing) don't worry mommy, when I'm King, I will give it back.

He was just a little boy and I have no doubt, that if and when he becomes King, somehow he will reinstate Diana as a princess.

The Krays

I've watched various things on these guys. This one talked to old acquaintances.

I'd be curious if any British people on our board had relatives who dealt with or knew the Krays, know any stories about the Krays that might not have been told in the media?

I watched a doc I think it was called

Diana: In Her Own Words.

This was a new one about Princess Diana and drew on the Andrew Morton tapes used to publish his book about Diana. Almost 2 1/2 hours of mainly Diana talking. The majority of the doc was Diana talking. Very interesting to hear her. It makes me wonder what the boys think about Charles's part in this, the royal family's complete lack of concern for Diana and her transition from public life to royal life.

I would recommend this.

One Day Since Yesterday

This is focusing on the life of Peter Bogdanovich.

I always love taking a closer look at creative people. They are fascinating.

Cybill Shephard was really quite pretty. I never understood the fascination of Dorothy Stratten. Yes, playboy blah blah. But there are a lot of women in playboy who are gorgeous. Dorothy didn't strike me as particularly smart or interesting. Apparently she was very sweet but I really think there wouldn't have been this swirl about her had it not been for her murder. It elevated her to some mystical level.

Art Basel: A Portrait

This is a short documentary about a town in Switzerland that hosts an annual Art Show that brings one of the biggest shows of established and new artists into a very small town once year.

I love the creativity and collections. We all see art as something different, and this show definitely pushes that envelope. What is Art?
