One of my favorite documentaries. I've probably watched it at least 3 times. I got a kick out of Freda telling the story of her making John Lennon drop to his knees and ask for forgiveness after he “accidentally” fired her.Good Ol Freda -- Loved this. Love her. She was the secretary to Brian Epstein and the Beatles.

He stayed there for a number of years. IIRC, I got to stay there once as well when I had to be there for a Haven Board meeting. He switched to a different hotel when the autograph hunters hanging around the hotel when he was in NYC got to be a problem. The Innocent Man
The judicial system is so messed up. I was subpoenaed in a vehicular manslaughter case (I think that's what the guy was charged with) as a witness.
Both sides of this play were lying. And I knew it. Defense and prosectution -- lying. I was waiting for the prosecution to ask me the right question and I would have blown the defense out of the water. And I was their witness!
It's all theatrics and unscrupulous practices.
Always at the Carlyle
This was really interesting to me. Old Hollywood and keeping secrets. And I loved the three bars attached to the hotel. Beautiful art and atmosphere.
Has Stephen King ever stayed at the Carlyle Moderator
What did you think about the Hotel? It is filled with a lot of characters who have been there for years. Did you meet Dwight, the stuttering concierge? I loved that such a ritzy hotel embraced him till he retired. He stayed there for a number of years. IIRC, I got to stay there once as well when I had to be there for a Haven Board meeting. About all I explored of the hotel was my room and the lobby. Very swanky in an old money, art deco/Hollywood glam sort of way if you know what I mean. I'm pretty sure I didn't meet Dwight or if I did, I don't remember it.What did you think about the Hotel? It is filled with a lot of characters who have been there for years. Did you step into any of the lounges? Historical businesses each and every one.
Yes, I know exactly what you mean. Watching the documentary was fascinating.About all I explored of the hotel was my room and the lobby. Very swanky in an old money, art deco/Hollywood glam sort of way if you know what I mean. I'm pretty sure I didn't meet Dwight or if I did, I don't remember it.

Not sure if I'm answering your question, but think this was it: he stayed there for a number of years whenever he was in NYC, not that he was staying at The Carlyle full-time for a number of years. That would have been in the early to mid 2000s.When was this? Like full time for years or just when he was in the city. Is this the one where all the celebrities stay

There are probably a lot of celebrities that stay there, but that can be said of quite a few of the NYC hotels so not sure if it's "the" one.
