Does anyone find this chapter oddly hilarious?

Does anyone find that chapter where a bunch of new characters are introduced just to have them killed off a few paragraphs later in morbid ways oddly hilarious?

Just the idea of a chapter where characters who will have no bearing on the story introduced just to die in awful ways just seems like something only Stephen King would do.

See this 4 year old? Bam! falls down a well and DIES!

See this woman? She accidentally locks herself in a walk in freezer and DIES!

See this person? A gun explodes in her hand and she DIES!

Yeah but he sometimes does it real casually, like in IT somewhere around the scene where Bev is running away from her dad it mentions how she passes by this 4 year old kid, and he's like "this kid will, by the way, die in a completely unrelated motorcycle accident 11 years from now"

Lol that was one of my favorite scenes/chapters in the book. I call it the "No Great Loss" chapter because it says that multiple times
