Not really. I follow him on Twitter and he often recommends books there, and I occasionally check 'em out. And if I'm strapped for new reading material I reference the recommended reading lists in Danse Macabre and On Writing.

Delicate, Edible Birds was one that caught me by surprise. Not that it wasn't a good story collection, but it wasn't the sort of book that usually vies for a King endorsement.
King had this to say about The Monsters Of Templeton: 'Lauren Groff's debut novel, The Monsters Of Templeton, is everything a reader might have expected from this gifted writer, and more... Best of all is Templeton, a town that will remind readers of Ray Bradbury at his most magical. There are monsters, murders, bastards, and ne'er-do-wells almost without number. I was sorry to see this rich and wonderful novel come to an end, and there is no higher success than that.'
I've read TMOT and it is an amazing book, especially since it's Groff's first book. Highly recommend it! It seems logical that King would keep endorsing this writer, she's that good.
