Just finished the book, and like many of you, I love to hunt for easter eggs from previous books and movies. Sadly enough, I only have found two this time. The first one is a big spoiler, so here comes the tag...

The number of the hospital room where Brady now lives is 217.

Second one was pretty obvious, Holly says towards the epilogue that The Shawshank Redemption's OST is one of her favorites.

Anyone caught any others?

I did see the Shawshank reference and did a little laugh. It's so funny the other references such as The Black Keys and the Indians for me since they are practically from my neck of the Woods. The book is really up-to-date with some of the pop culture references. I don't keep up with much of that, but I was surprised that I knew some of the movie titles he was talking about it. (When Bill and Holly went to movies)
As always, I liked his note at the end, especially when I see Marsha's name. ;-D

I caught that Frederica Bimmel Linkletter - Frederica Bimmel is the character that is killed in Silence of the Lambs, the one that was weighed down and found out of order. Also, Library Al Brooks...not sure if it is related, but the use of the word Brooks made me think of Brooks Hadley, the library custodian in The Shawshank Redemption. Definitely a lot of other pop culture references and I figure there are some other easter eggs hidden in there. Seemed like maybe the bankruptcy lawyer could have been a character in another book?

Thank you!! :) I'm surprised it has taken me this long to actually post on the SK site since I've been a fan since pretty much forever!! Pet Semetary was my first SK read when I was in the 6th grade...my Dad is the one that got me hooked and fed that addiction in the early years. LOL I think I've read just about everything although there are a few that I still need to catch up on. I'm currently wrapping up End of Watch on audiobook and am considering next listening to The Dark Tower series in preparation for the movies/TV series. Also following along as Richard Chizmar reads the catalog in order. Thanks again for the warm welcome to the site!! As Roland says "Long Days and Pleasant Nights"... =D
