There is certainly some confusion over his age. Though some text references put him at twenty-one, he seems to be twenty-three in the early part of the series and is described as twenty-five in Wolves of the Calla.

In my timeline in The Road to the Dark Tower, I chose the more consistent version: Eddie was born in 1964. Jake was born two years later, the same year Eddie's sister was killed by a drunk driver. That sister, by the way, has two different names, too!

Just been flicking through my kindle. When Eddie's on the plane,in the toilets, 'the last third of his twenty one years'. This is probably the mistake, because he tells Odetta he's 23 born in 1964. Jake is 11 born in 1966, taken in 1977. I remember this because I'm called Paul Chambers and was born in 1966. When Jake dreams of Eddie the description is 'the boy was bigger than Jake, and at least thirteen' . Making him 23 in 1987, the year Roland draws him.

I had noticed that, too. These are the kind of little mistakes that seemed to be fixed in the revised Gunslinger. I hope that doesn't mean he will revise Drawing, too.
King addressed this in a conversation with George R. R. Martin recently. He said, "I revised the first one but, really, I need to go back to all of them." He didn't say that he would, but it sounds like he surely would like to try. My guess is it won't happen because time is limited and he has so many other things he wants to write. I never read the revised Gunslinger, did anyone prefer it?

Read it, but prefer the original, even with the rough edges.

Glad to see Eddie's age issues have been addressed in the forums. (Guess who started reading "The Drawing of the Three" and can't seem to stop and is already one third into "Detta on the Other Side".)

Perhaps his first age was given as 21 as the focus was to say he was sexually active at 14 and it was an easy multiplication by 3 (14 + 7 = 21), and that piece of data was forgotten by the time his current age (or his date of birth) became more relevant and set as 23.

Still, I can see a writer missing this as the novel is being written, and even on proof-reading, but it could be somewhat easier for an editor to catch it. Then again, I paid special attention to the characters' ages, but might have missed it otherwise.

was eddies sister called Gloria or selina ? i'm sure she was printed here as both ? henry was 10/ eddie 2 when she died in a car accident , no ?

King settled on Gloria, but she was mentioned as something else once - I wouldn't have been able to come up with Selena but I think that's it. Selena was the sister of the Eddie that was 21 in "Drawing"; Gloria was the sister of the main Eddie!
