Yes, my understanding is that it's planned for a release in (US) autumn 2019. I can't reveal the title or any other details at this time, though, as no official announcement has been made. The book is already written and may have gone through the final edits--that part I don't have up-to-date information about.

Amazing!!!

Thanks so much for the info.:D

I would say no answers--- continuation of the town residence and happenings.

Thanks.

One thing I find strange is that just because of his initials a lot of readers feel Rchard Farris in Gwendy's Button Box was Randall Flagg. But Farris was a total agent of good. It seemed he was going around the country, giving the box to certain people he felt were special, to teach them about responsibility. I suppose so that once they had some kind of influence (Gwendy was to become a famous writer), they would use their power in a responsible way. There didn't seem anything evil about him or what he did.

The initials RF were used just to mess with our heads! I think Mr. King likes to mess with us! I know he does. Salem's Lot and The Shining scared me to death. I am over 50 years old and sleep with covers over my neck and NEVER go to a second floor of ANY hotel.

Ireallyliked Elevation. Just when i got in in the mail on friday i felt elevated and then i read it.....
It has resemplances with Thinner but is a much more mature story. Its a sad story (made me cry, dont tell anyone) It gives us a few winks to other books but not anything major. If anyone thinks this is a scary story or a horrorstory then think again and dont judge it as a such. This is a very well told story about a mysterious illness, prejudice and friendship. There is a few political comments but if anyone thinks thats wrong i dont see why. It is set in todays USA and a few lines about it is only natural. All in all it was well worth the money. I would actually like to hear more about DeeDee and Missy. I know there are more than this story lurking in their past or future.

But why do that randomly. There should be some purpose to it. Farris doesn't share similarities with Flagg, so what's the point?
Why not?? If he likes to mess with us sometimes then thats purpose enough. And then there is the fact that a whole lot of people have the initials RF, not everyone is a Flagg incarnation neither in real life or kings books. Just my opinion......

But it's so pointless, especially when there are real and existing connections between novels. To throw something randomly in diminishes the real connections.

A lot of people have RF initials, but not so much in his books that I could find, although it's hard to find a survey of every name ever used in his books.

This review does make a case for him being Randall Flagg, although the reviewer also says it doesn't feel like the Randall Flagg she knows.

Kate’s Review: “Gwendy’s Button Box”

Gwendy is frustrating because you know so little in the end, therefore you can make it a case for him being Flagg or not.
...I say he’s Flagg being Flagg....in other words, RF is an agent of chaos and likes not fitting in any pre-conceived mold or doing what’s “expected”....

A very strange story. Yet uplifting and positive. I think this may have wanted to be longer, but it did end well. I'd like to see more about DeeDee and Missy they were interesting and I like the way they evolved.Maybe more in the future.

I finished it a few days ago and don't know what to think. As usual, I found it to be a great read and great story, but it was almost as if it was written by another author. The character development didn't ring as true in this book as others. Maybe just because it was short and trim and not too much time to get to know their quirks and history. At the end of the day I read it and will blindly continue to buy anything he lets loose into the world, because he is King!
