Email Notifications

Okay, I know I am new, but I keep getting notifications. I keep turning off different notifications and alerts, but I am still getting emails. There are so many options and worded oddly, that I am never sure if I am turning the right setting off. As my inbox is continuing to get overloaded, can I please get some help. What do I need to turn off to stop getting email notifications for every reply to a post?

Where your name is, over to the right, hover over that and a drop down menu shows up. You should be able to disable all email notifications there.

Go to alert preferences, then to the left a whole list of things shows up. Click on Contact settings. There is where you tic the box for emails or no.

It sounds like you're subscribing to every thread and have set your account to email notifications from subscribed threads.

Uncheck "and receive email notifications of replies" on this page:
http://stephenking.com/xf/index.php?account/preferences

Open the tab that shows your user name. In there, you can set your alert settings.

They've been disabled, but so has all my alerts. I guess that is better than all the emails, but now I'm missing responses to conversations I had been a part of.

You shouldn't need to disable alerts as long as you uncheck "and receive email notifications of replies" on this page:
