Was anyone else emotional? I just finished the audio book yesterday evening. I had to sit in my driveway for 15 minutes after my commute home because I couldn't wait to finish!

After listening to the story for two weeks, I felt so emotionally invested. I was sad the story was over and my time with Jake complete. I found the ending to be bittersweet...

I read the alternate ending someone posted a link to in another thread... I have some questions about that! I was confused.

Does anyone else mourn a book sometimes, once you have completed the story? I hope one day Mr. King re-visits Jake and Sadie. I like when a character I love gets a continuation of their story.

Also, does anyone want to go dancing? :)

Cried like a baby. Twice. Welcome. I love dancing, but I am terrible at it. What I lack in talent I make up for in enthusiasm.

Definitely an emotional ending. Every time I read that story I'm left thinking 'What would I do?'

PS: Welcome to the board! :)
I'd like to think I would have stayed in 1958 and gone to find Sadie. Prevented her from marrying Will in the first place! But, knowing what he did about how altering the past can change things so much, I know Jake made the right choice.

Oh, most definitely! This one was tough, but I often feel a bit lost when I finish a really good book. I miss that connection. I think that's why I am usually reading non-stop and sometimes multiple books at a time. Lessens the pain, if you will.

Welcome to the SKMB!
I usually read one and listen to one! I hate that feeling when a good book is over. I will sometimes go right to a new book, and sometimes linger and nurse my emotions which is what I am doinf with 11/22/63. The good thing is by finding this board and by watching the mini-series I can pretend the story really isn't over yet.

Howdy Liz, Yes. Some books leave an indelible mark on your psyche. The Dark Tower series did that to me as well. I hate it when good stories come to an end. Welcome, mal.
started the Dark Tower Series and didn't even make it a quarter of the way through the first book... Maybe I should re-visit. I wonder if it is a good audio-book...

I read recently that production is for sure moving forward on a movie version, with talks of Edris Elba in the main role.

First question. I sooo hear you. 11/22/63 had one of the best endings (last twenty pages) I've read from SK. Wasn't the most complete ending, but the most correct, I thought. Thought about J & S for a long time after finishing the book.

Second question. Can you mosh?

I thought the writing was done in such a way that Jake's pain was palpable.

Unfortunately, I do not mosh! Maybe something I would have tried in my younger days but now I think it might kill me!

Well, GNTLGNT, I think that pic may actually be pretty accurate in some areas of my great state!!! LOL

Happy to say I've never ridden a cow while holding a gun and wearing a fur cap. Now, take each of thise things individually and we may have a different story! ;)
