So, have people read this synopsis and if so, what do you think?

Looks like it is definitely headed in a supernatural direction...
About the book: In Room 217 of the Lakes Region Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic, something has awakened. Something evil. Brady Hartsfield, perpetrator of the Mercedes Massacre, where eight people were killed and many more were badly injured, has been in the clinic for five years, in a vegetative state. According to his doctors, anything approaching a complete recovery is unlikely. But behind the drool and stare, Brady is awake, and in possession of deadly new powers that allow him to wreak unimaginable havoc without ever leaving his hospital room.
Retired police detective Bill Hodges, the unlikely hero of Mr. Mercedes and Finders Keepers, now runs an investigation agency with his partner, Holly Gibney, the woman who delivered the blow to Hartsfield s head that put him on the brain injury ward. When Bill and Holly are called to a suicide scene with ties to the Mercedes Massacre, they find themselves pulled into their most dangerous case yet, one that will put their lives at risk, as well as those of Bill s heroic young friend Jerome Robinson and his teenage sister, Barbara. Brady Hartsfield is back, and planning revenge not just on Hodges and his friends, but on an entire city.
In End of Watch, Stephen King brings the Hodges trilogy to a sublimely terrifying conclusion, combining the detective fiction of Mr. Mercedes and Finders Keepers with the heart-pounding, supernatural suspense that has been his bestselling trademark. The result is an unnerving look at human vulnerability and chilling suspense. No one does it better than King.

And this from the main SK site's homepage:

End of Watch is a compelling and chilling suspense novel which sees retired detective Bill Hodges back on the trail of his nemesis Brady Hartsfield, the criminal the press called The Mercedes Killer. Foiled in his attempt to commit a second mass murder, Hartsfield is confined to a hospital brain injury unit in a seemingly unresponsive state. But all is not what it seems: Brady is able to influence both his physician and the hospital librarian to commit crimes in the outside world. Now, the technological genius has created a hypnotic electronic fishing game which compels users to commit suicide, and he is determined to target the three people who put him in hospital - Hodges and his sidekicks Holly and Jerome. Then he plans to initiate a suicide epidemic. For Hodges - and the city - the clock is ticking in unexpected ways...Both a stand-alone novel and the final episode in the Hodges trilogy, End of Watchis a tense read which takes the series into a powerful new dimension.

Okay, back to the thread name, here is my wishlist

PROS wish
-Bill's character improve, like he was able to save Holly and Jerome IF Brady made something terrible (he lacks that IMO)
-MORE SCENE from Brain Injury clinic (Brady's confined hospital), i love hospital settings in every media, that's why i love Silent Hill
-wanna see more at Jerome, he lacks appearances at FK
-a good solution on how Bill and the Scooby doo gang fight Brady and his power
-a little bit Detective Fiction vibe
-More Brady backstory and longer perspective, i find his past intriguing
-and as one of Brady's fangirl, MORE MORE AND MOOOOORE
-i hope this one is longer than MM and FK

CONS wish
-Brady will win against the scooby doo gang
-one of the MC (Holly was a great candidate for this) will lose sanity because of Brady >:^)
-i want to see another mass murder attempt of Brady but with a twist because of his condition
-Blood flowing at my book (just kidding)
-

Meh. As much as I like supernatural stories, that aspect in these books was a disappointment to me. I would have liked to have seen Mr. King give detective fiction a real shot instead of punting to his strength. Ah well--different strokes for different folks :)
Was room 217 the same room as the woman in the tub in the Shining?
Yep :)

My Dad is going to be disappointed it sounds like. His first two SK books in his 90+ years on this earth were the first two in the series. He really enjoyed them, except for the turn at the end of 'Keepers' with Brady. He was hoping that this crime drama would play out without turning into the "usual SK stuff" as he put it. Oh well, I'll still see if he'd like to have it anyway to complete his set.
