Hello. This is the first time I've ever posted anything so please be gentle with me. I've read a lot of what others have posted and thought this would be the best place to ask a question. I'm finally going to be able to see Stephen King in Nashville for his End Of Watch book tour. It's truly a dream come true. My problem is, I've never been to one before and I have no idea what to expect. Can I bring a camera? How long does the event usually last? What do I wear? (Ha Ha). I'm a woman so knowing what to wear is par for the course. I'm over excited and super nervous. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi and welcome. Only attended one talk event. Dress was casual- several had SKMB or SK related tee shirts. Each venue varies with rules. Mine said no Flash cameras. Length depends on the interviewer, how Mr. King responds, and the Q&A part. Main thing it just be you, sit back and enjoy the event. SK is an awesome speaker.

Welcome! I envy you seeing our Master. I've seen him twice in the past, once for the Bag Of Bones tour and once for the Lisey's Story tour. Casual attire is fine. We weren't allowed to take pics, but lots of folks did anyway. It really is a special treat to hear Steve give one of his talks. Be sure to let us know how it was!!!

Thank you for the welcome and the advice. Spideyman, I appreciate what you said and will just enjoy everything. King family fan, I'm coming from Louisiana and never had the pleasure of visiting Tennessee. I'm more than excited to see the man who changed my life. I hope you have a great time.

Greetings.

I recommend you purchase a Pennywise costume to wear at the event and blurt out “I’m your biggest fan” over and over again. You’ll fit right in. And you don’t need a camera, as everyone there will be filming you on their smartphones and it will be available all over Facebook and Youtube for you to see. Good luck. Enjoy. And tell us how it goes. :)

(I think the mods would back me up that my advice here is always sound. ;))
