Can't remember where the *Easter egg * thread is, but when the building in the alternate 2016 had 'CAPTAIN' graffiti on it, I made my friend (who hasn't read the book, and loved the series) rewind it, hoping it said 'CAPTAIN TRIPS'

Yeah, I noticed that it just said "CAPTAIN", but not "TRIPS." I felt just the tiniest bit incomplete inside.

I thought this was a fantastic episode and was as faithful to the book as they could have made it. I am actually amazed that they didn't leave it open for a season 2, it was as nicely wrapped up as the book was, the only way it could have been closed up any more would have been to mention that Al's diner was to be removed and the rabbit hole with it - as per the book. I guess that is the only thing that could suggest a 2nd season, but would have to be a completely new story. Aside from 1 or 2 little things, I have loved the series, it was better than I could have hoped.

I was pleasently surprised with the acting in general (LHO being the main exception), as I don't watch much film I had never even heard of James Franco and was concearned after reading so much criticism of him, however, I thought he did a fine job. He squinted a bit too much, always looked like he was contemplating something, but other than that he did a good job. Bill (as much as I didn't really care for his extended role, even though I understand why he had one) I thought did a good job too, so did Deke, Ms Mimi, Frank, Harry, Marina (even though she didn't have that much of a part), and Al. However, the stand out by a country mile was Sarah Gadon. Her smile is absolutely radiant, I was disapointed at first when Sadie wasn't cast as she appears in the book but boy was I proven wrong. Next time I read the book I will be unable to picture anyone other than Sarah as Sadie, and that will make her even more lovable as a character.

I wish they had of made this an 18-20 part series, then it could have been even truer to the book and not felt as rushed (there were some major time jumps even after removing 2 years from the book).

11/22/63 is my 2nd favourite book, and I think this show did it justice. Well done to Stephen and this JJ whatever his name is for doing right.
I'm not a big fan of James Franco, but I also thought he was great in this role. Oh and Sarah/Sadie wow! What is your other favorite SK book?

Lovely final episode. All in all, I liked the series quite a bit, aside from LHO. Eps 6/7 were shaky, but the producers/writers managed to redeem the show at the end. The poem was lovely, as was the whole final bit. Well done on the part of all involved!

I bought 11.22.63 back in 2011 , then in 2012 fell very ill with sepsis , long story short I was in hospital for a total of three months during which time I ' died ' for several minutes but was either revived or my heart restarted on its own , I suffered multiple organ failure , sole kidney , lungs then my heart - The Doctors were convinced I was going to die and should I by some miracle live would most certainly suffer from brain damage .
There's nothing like a good ice-breaker to introduce myself !
Well , the only way I was affected was my short term memory is now very poor - so when I was looking through Sky TV Box Sets the other day I noticed ' 11.22.63 ' then wondered if it was connected to the book in any way .
I downloaded the series and just finished it this afternoon - I have to say I was very impressed , some lovely period touches , I particularly enjoyed seeing all those lovely 1960s cars .
Excellent story considering we are all very much aware of what happened - I thought the ending whereby George Wallace somehow became President and did something so bad America still hadn't recovered by 2016 was mystifying , also despite saving Harry's Mum and siblings Harry still wasn't happy and somehow it seemed a better option to go back and do nothing to help him - I found that a bit strange , anyway ...Would have liked to see more of Leon Rippy who played Harry , I thought he contributed a lot to the series despite only appearing in two episodes , criminal underuse of a good character I thought .
I never did get round to reading Stephen King's book but hopefully there's still time .
