There's one with Stephen's and other writers' quotes, but probably also another one started that is exclusively for Stephen's quotes that didn't come up with the Search, so will leave this for now. If anyone else knows where one just for Stephen's quotes is, feel free to let us know.

There's this one, but these are quotes, not necessarily from books:

Toni - Yes, the book is excellent (though I have not read it for over 20 x years). But I do think Kubrick made a superb job of the film, as did all of the cast.

Yes I liked the move too, and I think Jack Nicholson is a fantastic actor, I just don't think the movie was cast particularly well :) It's rare to get the depth of a character in a movie.

Toni - Well it's all a matter of personal taste I suppose. I watch a few documentaries on the film and it seems to get mixed reviews.

Sometimes, you just don't have the time to read a book so you jump straight to the movie. But yes, the book always offers more depth.

"Kill if you will, but command me nothing!” the gunslinger roared. “You have forgotten the faces of those who made you! Now either kill us or be silent and listen to me, Roland of Gilead, son of Steven, gunslinger, and lord of the ancient lands! I have not come across all the miles and all the years to listen to you and your childish prating! Do you understand? Now you will listen to ME!"

Since I'm almost done but still reading it, here's one I'd forgotten that I adore:

"And I believe happiness is the exact opposite of sadness, bitterness, and hatred: happiness should remain unexamined as long as possible."
- The Tommyknockers

Favorite ever, though....hmmm...:

"Death, but not for you, gunslinger. Never for you. You darkle. You tinct. May I be brutally frank? You go on."
- The Dark Tower, Book #7 (I think)

Wow, don't remember that quote from The Tommyknockers. Curious thought. Gotta ponder that one.
