Felt poor for Rose The Hat.. **SPOILERS**

never in a SK story have i felt so..comically sorry for a villain.. Its like Home alone! She gets trashed by Abra, her cult get annihilated in a heartbeat. Shes mocked over and over and frankly never stood a chance against Dan and his Scooby gang. Im i the only one feeling this way? Loved the book btw. Oh, a question. SPOILER SPOILER
Dan opens the trapped ghosts safes in the end, but what happened to the Massey woman? Only remember Horace being there..and wonder what happened to him after? Did he in time go after Dan again?

If I remember correctly, Ms. Massey was just ashes in the mental box when Dan opened it up before confronting the True Knot. All of her energy had expired over the years. Horace Derwent? Who knows? His essence, after dealing with the hidden True Knot member hiding in the shack, is not spoken of again by Mr. King. His essence was brought back to his old stomping ground, The Overlook site so it's conceivable he's not done yet.

Welcome. Great sequel to The Shining. When it becomes a movie, I picture Megan Fox as Rose the Hat.

Don't know if I felt sorry for Rose the Hat, but I think about her every day! I drink hot water in the morning and when it boils, I put my face over the steam (good for the complexion). Wish I had her outward "glamour" though!

I really don't feel bad for her. If you read Butcher The Dresden Files, there is a comment made about 'old/immortal creatures get set in their ways' as if they are hard to change old habits. Rose the Hat and her Vampires fell behind in the times. Sides, she was a cruel nasty thing who deserved her ending, especially after what we know happened to the baseball mitt boy.

Part A:If I remember correctly Dan and Abra were 'Pushing' against Rose and it was described as a larger set of hands were placed over someone else's. Then, As Dan and gang are walking away he looks back and sees his father Jack. Was Jack that force lending a helping hand?
Part B: That the spirits at the Overlook property cannot actually kill a living being only provide 'support' if you will? Like how Jack was locked in the pantry in The Shining to be let out by Mr. Grady.
