"Fiends On The Run" is my latest big film project (if you go by the rules of the Academy, it will be my second feature), and it should be released at the start of July. If you saw "Merrick: I'll Spew On Your Grave", you'll recognise a lot of familiar faces in the acting sphere. I don't want to give away too much about the plot, but I will say three things.

1) Apart from some short scenes in the suburbs, the movie is set entirely in good ol' Aussie bushland. Probably 80% of the film is filmed in the bush.

2) Tone and style-wise, I think it would be fair to say this movie has a lot of Troma-esque stuff in it. There's a lot of crass humour, bloody set pieces and swearing. :barf:

3) On a purely technical level, it is leaps and bounds beyond "Merrick". It has better writing, better direction and a tighter, leaner narrative. So far the movie is 29 minutes long, and we're only about half-done filming, but I am happy with what we have so far.

Stay tuned for updates.

It's done! Check it out, if you're interested.

Okay just finished watching it, :biggrin2: I have lots to say...

"I'm bumping off your Merry Band of Motherfu@kers, Randall!"

Garage door scene, all of it, start to achingly slow finish.

Corman shiiting himself after the hanging, that was laugh out loud stuff.

Corman and Trent's fight/slash vomit scene, specifically where Corman pukes into Trent's mouth.... entirely gross and hilarious.

"Nobody Loves You" during Herschell's killing.

Question: Did James play any of that guitar himself? (bloody fantastic if so...)

I seriously hate the "N" word. I used to also really hate the "C" word and then I met a lot of people that a) used it and b) made me think they were one in the context it is used when swearing at someone... so I'm more chill on the "C" word these days... but I'll never be okay with the "N" word.
I know that some people are and others are not, for vastly different reasons. It's just a personal preference for me to have nothing to do with it.

Overall response:
I think you guys did an amazing job! It won't appeal to everyone, but this is a piece of intensive work. The planning, the writing, the music, the cinematography.... it's all there! The acting has also improved from your first film, the dialogue is more natural too.
There are some very artful camera shots, seriously... a lot of insight there.
You can all be proud of this film. If you keep doing this, I believe you will have a career in the film/or TV industry.

Well done...
