What if it's dated before the book comes out?
There have been VERY FEW of these sold, but they command about the same premium as those signed on or just after the issue date.

Yeah, I didn't want to burst your bubble when I saw the email with the list of winners. I don't have a signed copy yet either if that helps you feel any better.Alas, once again, apparently I didn’t win anything in one of these book sweepstakes. Looks like a stop at Target is in order on the way home tomorrow... just like all the other peasants.
Thank you Ms Mod for thinking of my feelings and not wanting to burst my bubb... WAIT!... “I don't have a signed copy yet either” OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY!Yeah, I didn't want to burst your bubble when I saw the email with the list of winners. Admittedly my chances of getting one are significantly higher but I won't tell you to rub it in if/when I do.Thank you Ms Mod for thinking of my feelings and not wanting to burst my bubb... WAIT!... “I don't have a signed copy yet either” OHBOYOHBOYOHBOYOHBOY!
Might be a bit of a drive to Indiana but we've heard a couple there started over the weekend. Scribner is working on remedying that, though.Sometimes a Wally here jumps the gun and puts the book out the night before release date. I have to get pet food and laundry supplies today, so here's hoping their stocker has it out already (lol).
Getting one early doesn’t really help me LOL. My wife says I have to pick it up tomorrow so she has it in hand, but she is going to save it until our vacation at the end of July to read it. And I can’t read it first because the traditional “breaking of the spine” is reserved for her, under penalty of death.Sometimes a Wally here jumps the gun and puts the book out the night before release date. I used to stock books, and it's a big 'no-no' to stock early. I knew people who did it, though, through ignorance (they claimed) or laziness. Some stores had really small storerooms, too, and urged us to just get the darn boxes out of there.Might be a bit of a drive to Indiana but we've heard a couple there started over the weekend. You are a nice husband My husband isn't a big reader, but we do that for shows we both watch--make the pledge to hold off until we can watch together.Getting one early doesn’t really help me LOL. I suspect that's what happens most of the time when they go out early and not quite as big a deal when it's just a day or two ahead of pub date.I used to stock books, and it's a big 'no-no' to stock early. Inexcusable! Not really--I don't have signed copies of all of the books he's published since I started working for him. No lie.
They gave away over 200 copies (1 was signed) in 17 minutes!A friend who does FB, said there was a post about the NYC BookCon over the weekend. Seems there were some lucky attendees who visited the S&S booth! I'm stalking my mailbox tomorrow.
I've heard of people who get their Amazon books shipped a day or two early, too. Not much you can do, really.I suspect that's what happens most of the time when they go out early and not quite as big a deal when it's just a day or two ahead of pub date.
I should probably do something about that soon. I've only got 990 days left.Inexcusable!
LOL. I see that "rubbing it in" thing doesn't apply to Blunty.I should probably do something about that soon. I've only got 990 days left.
