I know I'm always a little behind everyone else. I wait for my hubby to buy a book for me rather than bug him for it. But I got Dr. Sleep before Thanksgiving and finished it a couple of weeks ago. I loved this book and do hope it's made into a movie.
I was slow getting to it/finishing it also... and not because it was slow going either. I loved it, a very satisfying read.

I also finished Dr. Sleep and it's kinda like moving out of a house you lived in for a long time. I'm going to miss Dan, and Abra and Billy--even those things that Mr. King made so human that you didn't root for them of course but they weren't so alien that they weren't accessible. That's what you can say about Mr. King--he wraps everyone in humanity.

I got the book as a 4 year anniversary present in September and just finished it today. Yeah it took awhile but life likes to throw somethings at you and it threw me out of my focus. So yeah I eventually finished it today and actually thought about waiting but I kept going because Stephen King has a way of keeping me going and wanting more. Reading the book and looking at all the references to AA I am thinking about giving the book to my dad. I know that wasn't the whole intention but still I thought maybe it would help because he does relate to Dan Torrance and I don't mean by the Shine! ;) I wasn't around when he first published The Shining but I feel very lucky that I am around to have read the sequel. It felt new though, I guess because all his other works took place in a different time period and his writing for now is something to get use to. Plus I hate the times we are living in. Great book overall and I'm very happy he is still writing.
