Hello I am about 40-60 pages in were the adult loser's get the call from mike summoning them back to Derry and am having some issues with the way he is over describing things. for example I was reading the part were he goes on and on about eddies wife and how fat she is and how she is just like eddies mom, this goes on for like 3 pages. it got me bored, can I skip a head or skim the parts where he over describes them. and were does it start getting interesting where I cant put the book down. it may also help that I have seen both the new movies and the original and i know that these people like eddies wife and Beverly's husband are not that important to the story.

You can of course do as you like but i wouldn't recommend it. IT - The Book - is a very complex story on many levels and these characters and his/her relations with them are important later on. Personally i think its his best book, I was completely glued to the book and has reread it at least 6 times, probably more.

My opinion is read everyword, maybe even twice. The most incredile part of this book is how its fits together like a jigsaw puzzle. Your not handed the next piece you need but your shown the peices then down the road you see the hole form thats the perfect fit for the piece you saw before.

If your ok with putting together 1999 pieces of a 2000 piece puzzle skim away but if that hole will drive you mad you need every word, maybe twice.
