Put what you want to say in a spoiler. See the bar above this box that has the smiley face? next to it is a picture of mtns., then there are film strips, then there is a letter icon. click on that. There is a spoiler tab. click that, type what is spoilery inbetween those two tabs and it is safe.

Thank you, good to know this now!

Ok, so question. It's about....

the turtle. I read this book pretty fast, so maybe I need to go back and read the parts with the turtle over again, but is the turtle basically the creator of the universe? The book, I think when IT is actually "speaking" or its in his POV at least, he mentioned "the Other" but I didn't think that that was actually The Turtle. I'm just a little confused on the turtle idea. Like I said, probably need to read it again, but to me he didn't really seem all that helpful to Bill anyway :apthy:

i just finished reading IT for the first time & honestly I'm a little emotional now that it's over! (I get emotionally invested in books) But now I'm all analyze-y about it because there's so much to this story--seriously one of the best books I've ever read. I found myself a little scared the first time they went to "fight" IT, the descriptions plus reading late at night in the dark...:0:
Definitely agree with reading it at night. It does make a difference. I purposely try and wait till night time when everyone is asleep.

Thanks FlakeNoir, I changed the brackets because I could not see the button. I see you need to post the reply first. Seems to work nicely now. Thank you again, mal.

Hi, I just got through the First Interlude and I'm about to start June 1958 tonight. My fiancee left for the week and I'll be alone at home with this book xD
I used to read Stephen King when I was younger- probably between 10 and 15 years old (though I did read through the Dark Tower series as an adult). I recently visited an antique shop and saw a handful of King hardcovers that piqued my nostalgia, so I bought them all and have since started to collect more and more (is it normal to become obsessed like this?). I own the TV-movie of IT, and I love the story, so I'm really looking forward to my first reading. It's a book that has always been on my backlog and I'm glad to have gotten back into Stephen King as an adult.
