We went to bed before the game was over, as we could tell the Pats were coming back and both had early day today. The next door neighbors made so much noise that hubby turned on the TV, said, "Yep, Pats win in overtime." and then turned it off again.

Halftime was fabulous. What a halftime show is supposed to be! I :love_heart: Gaga!

And, yep Sundrop we heard them jinx it as well. We're used to it as they do that to Dolphins all the time. "No team has ever .... yada, yada, yada." Oops, they just did it to the Phins. ;-D

Happy sleepy day after the big game to y'all. #moveSuperBowltoSaturday

What's amazing is how they keep re-loading every year and still stay so competitive. You lose Gronk, arguably the best TE in the NFL. No problem, just insert Martellus Bennett. James White?? Chris Hogan? Who are they? Aside from Edelman, Brady, Amendola, and Gostowski, watching the Patriots is like watching a very special group of "utility infielders". "Do your job" is repeated over and over by Belichick. There's something to that, because on paper, the Pats shouldn't have been able to do what they did last night. In this day and age of such high competition levels and big name players, The Patriots' formula seems a bit of throwback to the old days of football but whatever the formula is, there's definitely something to it. Congratulations to the Patriots.

What really irritates me is how many players they always seem to have that weren't good enough for the Dolphins. ;-D Chris Hogan is the latest. The Dolphins dumping Wes Welker might be the most famous Dolphin head scratcher.

Even when Brady was having his time out, they only lost one of the four games. Before that I'd been worried that they were relying too heavily on Brady. Not sure if those QB back ups will stick with them (or if they'll keep both of them) until Brady finally retires, but it's encouraging that they'll have someone in between then or if he gets seriously injured again.

I'm not sure Brady is ever going to throw in the towel. 39 years old and you're still able to do what he did last night? I grew up watching Joe Montana and said to myself several times back then, "I'm watching the greatest QB of all time play the game." Although I still believe Joe Montana to be the elite of the elite, Tom Brady, after that performance last night, has changed my mind. I don't think we'll see the likes of Brady again in my lifetime.

And the Pats letting him get away also to Denver...Can you imagine Welker, Edelmand, and Amendola as interchangeable slot receivers??

I could not watch the Super Bowl because I was stuck at work, but I kept up with the score on my phone. Or tried to. I knew when I saw the Falcons were up 28-3 not to count out the Patriots. Much as I loathe the Patriots I knew there was no way Darth Hoodie's Pats would just simply accept a Super Bowl beatdown. There was no way they'd lose. Especially since they weren't playing the Giants.

So I wasn't too surprised at all to discover they'd won.

Congrats to them. Maybe ole Belichick can finally do the rest of the league a favor and retire. :D

Nah... Sooner or later Satan will be claiming Belichick's soul. :)

There is great rejoicing here in each New England town...
Breathing's almost back to normal; heart rate's slowing down.
Soon the rally will be rolling through the Boston streets
Where the fans no longer care if you think our team cheats.

We get why the fans of other teams may hate the Pats
Celebrating (once again) in new tee-shirts and hats.
If we knew there's nothing that our football team could do
That will match the Patriots, I guess we'd hate them, too.

Sports gods' First Commandment is that fans ought not to gloat
But that rule's suspended when your quarterback's the GOAT.
And, real fans of football, even if they curse our name,
Must admit the Patriots delivered quite a game...

Possibly the most amazing game I've ever seen
Since I started watching back at Super Bowl XIX.
I can love my team if, not so much, their politics.
They have got my full support to start their #QuestFor6.
