I was a SickDog this weekend. Watching the Patriots didn't cause it, but it sure didn't help my fever riddled, achy body to watch that debacle. I didn't think it was possible for the Patriots to play any worse than they did last week. Then they landed in Detroit. Still employing the Holland Tunnel defensive scheme. Seriously, you can't stop any running plays? And the offense? Can't anyone not named Gronkowski make a play? I think Father Time's fingertips may be brushing the back of Brady's jersey.

They are 1-2 and facing Miami next, who are 3-0 (somehow). Don't want to be 1-3 on Sunday afternoon but it's looking likely. Getting Edelman back will help but it may be too late.

In other news, Jimmy G may have a torn ACL. That's a bummer for him. If he was still in NE, I'd be considering starting him this Sunday!

I watched a lot of that game, also. From here it was a thing of beauty. :)

I’m hearing rumors Le'Veon Bell might be traded to the Patriots. That the Steelers would do it now so they can get something for him in trade because they would get nothing when he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.

Well, we already made one desperation trade so another one can't hurt.

Had kind of the same thoughts. As much as I enjoy watching Brady and Gronk, perhaps we're seeing the tipping of the scales as far as old age treachery vs. youth and enthusiasm?

Oh, Brady has not lost his enthusiasm. He was still screaming at his teammates and throwing his helmet around. He isn't looking quite like his normal self. That could be that he has no real weapons other than Gronk right now. Or it could be that his age is catching up with him. I'm hoping it's the former. Because when age does catch up, it's usually quick and not pretty. Not having a real backup QB is never a good plan even if your QB is young and in his prime.

Patriots better find a Brady replacement soon. With the Alliance of American Football starting up in February of 2019 there will be 8 teams looking for talent and available QB's will be slim pickings after that.

I watched a replay of last Saturday night's Rugby League preliminary final between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Sydney Roosters. Even though the Roosters won, Souths in my opinion dominated the match, especially the second half, camped down attacking the Roosters try-line but they just couldn't seem to get through. I also think that they dropped the ball at crucial times. I think Souths were fatigued from last week's game and also that I think they were nervous. The Roosters's coach, Trent Robinson, also pulled off a master stroke by not telling a Rookie centre that he wasn't in the team until game-day, thus preventing him from burning up mental energy all week thinking about it.

LOL. Well... the Bills climbed out of the worst 5 teams category and the Jets took their place. Jetsiness has once again claimed control. After the last two games it’s apparent the Jets continue to exist in their perpetual state of building for the future. And once again, early in the season, the only hope left for fans is salvaging a split with the Patriots during the season.. :(

I don't know who started that "Bills are the worst team in the NFL" mantra, but they don't know football too well. The Bills went to the playoffs last year and were a play or two from defeating the Jags to move on past the wild card game. They now have a better quarterback, one that can throw, and will learn with every game he gets under his belt. They replaced two starters on the offensive line, and it takes time to build cohesion there.Defense, when they don't have to be out there constantly, can play with anyone..lets go Buffalo!
Your new QB is a Wyoming boy! :applause:
