I almost had seven heart attacks on Saturday watching the SEC Championship between Alabama and Georgia. I knew it would be tough. KIrby Smart knows how to bring it against Alabama. I just didn't think Tua would struggle as much as he did. Not just him either, but the entire Alabama offense couldn't get a lot done until late in the third quarter. Tua going down after cutting the score to 28-21 was scary and I hope he gets better, but I'm so happy for Jalen Hurts, too. Jalen came off the bench and led two scoring drives to win the game for us.

This is the stuff that movies are made of. Last year against the same team Jalen gets benched and Tua gets it done. This year Jalen goes in for Tua and gets the W and a bit of closure. Both QB's are class acts and I think people can learn a lot from Jalen's determination and patience.

Of course, this all won't mean much if they can't take down Oklahoma. I'm somewhat dreading their offensive prowess and I'm not sure if Tua will be healthy by then.

....as fans, we will miss him....he was and is a class act-despite some mistakes along the way....I truly hope he stays retired.....the arachnoid cyst in his brain isn't going to improve-so he needs to relax and enjoy the remainder of his days.......my Christmas wish is that the Bengals finally figure out what's wrong with the squad.....starting with the head dipwad....errr, coach.....
He has success everywhere he goes. Top notch coach, but he needs to rest. Didn’t he leave Florida partly because of health reasons?

That game was a nail biter. Alabama is my surrogate favorite SEC team because, well let’s face it, my Razorbacks are just awful. Anyway, Bama vs OU should be a good one. Sooner defense is pretty leaky but their offense could give bama some trouble. Looking forward to the game.

The Giants actually looked impressive in a game on Sunday. Granted, they played against El ButtFumble and the Redskins, but a W is a W. Considering the start to the season, I believe an 8-8 or 7-9 season wouldn't be the worst in the world for the G-Men. I hope the Giants can keep competing.

Also looks like most of the "big" playoff contenders like the Rams, Patriots, Steelers, and Texans got Ls on Sunday. Probably the most bitter loss being the Patriots loss since they lost on one of the most shocking final plays in NFL history. Regular season or not. But I didn't think the Bears would dismantle the Rams as strongly as they did and that was probably the most costly loss since that actually puts the Saints in the catbird seat.

All in all, a good day of football.

Still, I'm patiently waiting for December 29th to get here.

If you see the play again, watch the block that Dolphins lineman #62 puts on the pats CB (#27) when Drake has the ball (it's about 18 seconds in on the video I've seen).

EDIT: It wasn't #27, I couldn't make out who it was.

IF I see it again??? I think between phones and TV, we have it recorded on 4 devices! I'll check it out!

P.S. Drake says now that he wants the ball back!

I can understand why he does. Undoubtedly he tossed it in the heat of the moment. But I saw the video where he was willing to offer gloves, cleats, a jersey, and tickets to the lucky fan that has the ball.

Not too bad, IMO.

I’ve really lost interest in the NFL this year. It’s a combination of things… The Jets suck, the excessive penalties because of rule changes, and the kneeling protests. Haven’t watched a NFL game in several weeks and the Jets game was even televised on Saturday.

Well NFL fans, you can all now rejoice in the fact that the NE Patriots Dynasty has come to an end.

Father Time has a hold of TB12's shirttails. The D is non-existent against the run. The offense is a mess. The coaching decisions are increasingly bizarre. I'd be surprised if the team wins any of their remaining games. It's nt going to get better anytime soon as there is no legitimate QB post-Brady. Was good while it lasts though!

My pick for the SB champion this year is KC.
