Well NFL fans, you can all now rejoice in the fact that the NE Patriots Dynasty has come to an end.

Father Time has a hold of TB12's shirttails. The D is non-existent against the run. The offense is a mess. The coaching decisions are increasingly bizarre. I'd be surprised if the team wins any of their remaining games. It's nt going to get better anytime soon as there is no legitimate QB post-Brady. Was good while it lasts though!

My pick for the SB champion this year is KC.
They'll still win the division.

The Superbowl is in Atlanta. If New Orleans makes it, they are a pretty tough dome team.

LOL. They still have to play the Bills and Jets. The Pats could play their cheerleaders and still win. :)

Keep in mind the Pats lost to the Lions and Jags, too. They were not exactly playoff caliber teams, either. They'll probably beat the Jets and Bills, but it's not a sure-win like it used to be for the longest time. One of them at the very least could provide another upset.

I think it's remarkable how the Rams have sort turned into a terrible football team. They are struggling right now when they shouldn't be and they are playing the worst football than most of the playoff bound teams. If they have to play a game at New Orleans in the postseason I don't think that will end well for them.

Depending on how everything else goes, I think the AFC has a decent chance of being won by the Chargers. They've proven they can go on the road and win like they did against the Chiefs and (as of now) are playing some good football. They might even sneak away with the No. 1 seed in the AFC if Kansas City doesn't take care of business.

New Orleans over Seattle

New Orleans over LA Rams

SB

New Orleans over Kansas City

To my amazement, NE is heading to a 9th Super Bowl. Heck of an AFC championship game. Lucky NE won the coin toss and got the ball to start overtime. They would not have won that if the coin landed tails.

I have seen the future of the NFL and his name is Patrick Mahomes. That kid has skills. If he stays healthy he is the next superstar QB.

I'm glad I didn't bet any money on my picks. :) Those were horrible.

I'm leaning towards the Pats for the Super Bowl. I think the Rams are better but that big Super Bowl spotlight can cause problems for first timers. I know the old coach and old QB know how to handle it, I'm not so sure how the young coach and QB will handle it.

By all rights the Rams shouldn't even be in the Super Bowl. That missed call on the Rams defender toward the end of the Saints game was so egregious that I really do think every referee involved should be terminated.

I'm sure the "apology" the Saints organization received from the NFL afterward is almost the same as going to the Super Bowl so the Saints and their fans should just celebrate like they are going anyway. :question_pig:

If I recall correctly, earlier in the quarter the Saints got away with double no-call penalties on a single play when the Rams were driving deep - pass interference and roughing the passer. Perhaps it all evened out.

My father always told me that a Norwegian invented American football. I still don't know if my father was correct. Tom Brady is pretty unbelievable to play at that level at 41. How come the Minnesota team never seem to win the Superbowl?
