Well for anyone other than me who follows Arkansas Razorback football....and honestly why WOULD anyone follow this train wreck?? Anywho, we fired our coach after 22 games, going 0-14 in the SEC over the last two seasons. I watched us get our collective arses kicked by the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers this last weekend....WHO?, you might ask? The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers? Yep, final score, small Conference USA school 45, SEC member Arkansas 19. It was time for Chad Morris to go, there's been absolutely no progress over both seasons other than Coach Morris promising that "Arkansas will have the most explosive offense in the country!"....He said that over and over, but it just never came to pass. I've never seen Arkansas football at such a low point. There's talk of possibly leaving the SEC and taking our years old invitation into the Big 12 seriously for a change but I think there's just too much money in the SEC so the result is we'll most likely hire another mediocre, at best, coach and continue to get our asses handed to us by teams that are historically and currently much better in all aspects. We really need a big name coach to take on a project, come to the U of A and clean house. They said the university is currently losing one million dollars PER GAME with attendance down as low as it is. You could have sat anywhere you wanted in the stadium this last weekend. So I'll be switching to my surrogate team, the Alabame Crimson Tide for the rest of the season, and hoping they can bounce back from their defeat of the vaunted LSU Tigers who look pretty much unstoppable right now. ROLL TIDE!!!!..lol

Don't get me wrong, I'll always be a die hard Razorback fan but I just don't know what's happened to our program. The stands used to be filled to capacity no matter if we were winning or losing, but the program has just become so toxic, our best players transferring out in the portal as soon as they can, the best tight end in the country, CJ O'Grady just up and quits the team? Somewhere in the depths of the program, something nefarious is going on and I'm hoping it left with the firing of Chad Morris. Time will tell, I suppose. I wonder if Nick Saban would like a challenge? How about it, Doc Creed , care to loan us Nick Saban for a few years, sir? ;)
Not a chance...even with LSU beating us this weekend. LOL :D
I don't think LSU has lost a game yet this season.

They are good, their QB is amazing. I'm thinking LSU vs Ohio State for the National Championship, although I'd love to see 'Bama sneak up and bite some people, maybe win it all as a one loss team. And I'd love to see a rematch between LSU and 'Bama, that was a great game, although it didn't turn out like I wanted it to...lol

Sorry about your Razorbacks.. a former co worker's son was recruited and joined the team a few years ago, but injured his neck in practice and think he no longer is on the squad, just going to school there now..have to check with his dad and see what's up.. all in for a Ohio State vs LSU, I think OSU has the firepower to get 'er done..go Buckeyes!

Ohio St is the team to beat right now. I'm glad Chase Young gets to come back for the last two games against Penn St. and Michigan. He's the best Defensive End I've seen in a long time. Love to watch him play.

I've heard a rumor that the Razorbacks are eyeballing App State's coach. Not sure how true it is, but would suck for them to lose a new coach two years in a row.

I saw he was on the short list. But, unfortunately, I think if we go after a coach from another small school, we'll be in the same sinking boat we've been in with Char Morris. Coming from a small conference into the SEC just seems to overwhelm coaches at the U of A. Bret Bielema, even though he coached at Wisconsin, had no experience coaching in the SEC. He went from big, offensive line, running backs oriented football to trying to bring that mentality to the SEC and it was a complete disaster. Morris made the same mistake thinking he could just impose his will on the SEC teams. We need a coach who has experience in the SEC, who has recruiting chops to get players from Florida, Texas, Alabama, to WANT to come up here and play, and we need someone who obviously likes a challenge. I think Chad Morris was simply the only guy who wanted the job last time since our program is such a train wreck right now. I'm hoping possibly Bob Stoops might be looking to build a program or maybe Guz Malzahn is ready to come home but I doubt it on both....lol

For the right price, I'll sign on as coach!

I hear ya, I'll be your assistant, we can both make bank then get fired and they can buy out our contract. We're still paying off Bret Bielema's buyout which was something like 5 million. I heard we're going to owe Morris something like 8-10 million to buy him out....ridiculous....

I'd like to sign one of those 10 year guaranteed deals and get fired after 3 weeks. :)

Jets might win again this weekend against the Redskins. Just like the Jets... win just enough to take themselves out of the running for a top lineman to protect Darnold.

Joe Namath once said... 'You learn how to be a gracious winner and an outstanding loser.'

The Jets have been outstanding for many decades. :(

The Dolphins get to play The Bengals later this year. That might be their last shot at a win. After the first 2 or 3 weeks, I thought The Dolphins were the worst team I had ever seen. But, their defense is actually pretty good. Their offense is so wretched, it hides the fact that the defense isn't too bad. Constant 3 and outs (if they are lucky) and short fields are tough on the D. The D gives me a small amount of hope that there is something to build on.

Broncos up 20-0 at the half, in a game that they were 10.5 underdogs. Son and I were going, "Just wait, just wait." Sure enough. A few minutes into the fourth quarter, the outcome was obvious. Whatever energy/momentum/luck that carried them through the first half had evaporated. We turned it off.

We were right.

Yes, that was a tough one for sure. I’m sure CAT will agree.

A big Big 10 game this week. Penn State #9 at Ohio State #2. Penn State is a 19 point underdog. Hoping Penn State’s good defense shows up for this game. I'll have to Tivo the game and watch is afterwards. With all the Penn State fans around I have a feeling my chances of not knowing the score until I get home is probably zilch.

Isn't Chase Young back this week for the Buckeyes?

I have not gotten to see any games this season. They just have not been on my tv. With the exception of the opener, but it was a late game and I fell asleep. But I have not missed much. Ha!

My best friend from high school took her son to this last game for his birthday. They are big Viking fans, their dog is named Minnesota, Sota for short. Anyway they were in Minneapolis all weekend. So for them, I am sure it was an awesome thing to watch in person. Pics looked like they had really great seats! That makes me glad for them.
