I read the article, and it says they caught the man before, but they couldn't charge him because he was seriously mentally ill. I'm assuming they mean besides the nature-pooping, because who doesn't like a nice al fresco heave ho from time to time?

Since there has been a period of time in between with no trouble I'm gonna guess he was inpatient somewhere, or maybe spent some time in Austin, Boulder or maybe Eugene, where a person pooping in people's yards would be seen as more of a bohemian artsy free-spirit type rather than a criminal or a nuisance.

It's so odd what the brain will do when it misfires.

Oh, and for complete transparency...

I have been to Houston, but only twice. Both times in 1994, and I only visited the Greyhound station while traveling from Denver to Florida and then back. Houston has the very nicest Greyhound station I've ever seen. As far as pooping, I may well have done something unholy there on either of those occasions. If you've seen the "bathroom" on a bus, you would save it all up at let it escape in such a decent place, too.

So, I've never pooped on any Texan landscaping, but I do apologize if I desecrated any of your public transport infrastructure. I can only plead desperation, and promise that I will never, under any circumstances, darken Greyhound's door again. Please forgive me.
