I know there are lots of people mad about the last couple episodes. But I loved them. Yes, things were rushed and they probably should have at the very least given us a full length season (even though most episodes were super sized.) But I was not disappointed. Only two things really bothered me.

Cersei's death was no where near brutal enough. She got off extremely easy given everything she had done. And I did not like Jon having to go back to the Wall. But once he got there and left with the Wildlings, I was satisfied with that too.

Favorite moment was
Drogon destroying the Iron Throne. Perfect.

What did you all think??
Agree completely.

I was surprised at first that
Jon didn't kill Drogon as he could become a problem later on but it made more sense why the writers didn't do that after seeing him taking Daenerys's body away.

I was happy with the finale, some fantastic shots and the music was incredible.
The Season as a whole is probably a 7 out of 10 due to how rushed it was. I still can't believe that HBO told them that they could have as many episodes as they wanted and they stuck with 6. Could have a whole season based on the last 35 minutes alone!

I am probably overthinking it but I think Drogon knew what Jon was going to do. Didn't like it but knew it needed to be done. That is why I loved the symbolism of the throne melting away into nothing so much. And just like that, the cause of everything is no more.

It will be very interesting now to see how much the remaining book(s) are like the show now. I hope the story goes in the same direction but yet fills in the blanks of the short season.

I think it is hilarious in a sad sort of way the amount of people who are upset. Did no one pay attention?? :D

I didn't go back to check but I'm still wondering if I missed a scene
where they arrested Jon Snow. I would have liked to hear how he explained why he killed Daenerys and did he reveal he was the true heir to the throne.

I just said this exact thing to one of my friends! You missed nothing, they just did a handy time jump!

Realistically I could see Grey Worm losing it and killing Jon on the spot

I’m not interested in this series at all but has anyone here read the novels they’re based on? One of my friends has been wanting to read the novels but has never gotten to doing it, his parents already own all the books in the series

The books are fantastic and well worth a read if you don't mind waiting 78 years for him to finish them....

Daenerys was a true heroine whose character was sabotaged by sexist male writers. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

They were following the major points of the Authors plan, I think it was always Martins plan that she would succumb to her Targaryen blood. They just sped it up in the show! In the books there's a lot more reference to the madness etc.

Joking aside, how long does it usually take to read the series, assuming he’s interested in it and reads a fair amount of pages per day
Gazman meant waiting for the author to finish writing the series, he has been on book 6 for a very long time. Not the amount of time it takes to read them. But they are all huge books. I read the first 4 over a summer. The 5th one was not out yet when I read them the first time.

Oh yeah, speaking of this show, I heard news that the director of this show is going to be directing some upcoming Star Wars related projects. That seems all well-and-good, but as a pretty big Star Wars fan myself, it’s kind of concerning hearing so much game of thrones fans being disappointed with the recent seasons.

A Song of Ice and Fire:

1. A Game Of Thrones: 804 pages

2. A Clash Of Kings: 1009 pages

3. A Storm Of Swords: 1216 pages

4. A Feast For Crows: 1104 pages

5. A Dance With Dragons: 1040 pages

So just over 5000 pages, maybe a couple of months? I remember it took me 5-6 months reading at a normal pace. But everyone's different.o_O

A lot of people think that they rushed the last season so they could go off and start making their Star Wars shows! Hard to blame them! Who doesn't want that sweet Disney money?
